New site is hosted by my good friend (who had his tumblr nuked),
scrungusbungus, and you can find an archive of all my work there. There are also a couple other animators and 2d artists
on the site as well.
I’m still new to twitter but I’ll probably post videos directly there, as well as the main site.
I’ve gone and deleted all my previous posts on this blog so that it is not removed. Hopefully this post will stay up. All of my work is archived on Meklab 2.0.
I’ve decided to make a Twitter so if you like what I make, you can get more of it there.
I’ve also gone through my follower list and searched for all the 3d artists that migrated. If you follow me, be sure to check these peeps out. I’ve made a list of all their posts with their platform info.
(Not all these guys are fit for vanilla church boys, so if you only like missionary and handholding then you might want to ask your parents for help on this one)
Friendly advice: don’t put money into Cumblr until they’ve shown design sketches or better: a working proof of concept.
The pitch is very light on details regarding implementation. The people running the campaign are anonymous. Their GoFundMe page has flexible funding, meaning they get all the money people donate, regardless of whether or not they make their goal. To me, that feels like a scam.
Their current site is barebones.(read: off-the-shelf site template) If there were people with project management, design or programming talent on board for this project, you could do a lot better than “it’s going to be like Tumblr for adult content” - either they have no plan at all, or will only start explaining it once they make the goal; which seems kind of sketchy, seeing as they set it to flexible funding.
And yet, 73 people have dumped $1,479 into that project.
Someone is putting the cart before the horse. As far as we can tell, there is no plan. There is an idea. There is a name. There is a domain name. There’s a logo that’s literally the name of the site in one ofthedefault Windows fonts. (Cambria) People should be super fucking skeptic about this.
But I get it. Now that everyone is panicking and scrambling to get away from Tumblr, people are willing to try anything because none of the alternatives fit for them. But that’s no reason to dump money into a crowdfunding project that is, as of right now, nothing more than a name.
Please ask whoever is running this Cumblr project to either share their plans, or give up this scam.
Well they finally did it, Tumblr is removing all adult content starting Dec 17th.
So folks it looks like Tumblr’s finally kicked the bucket, at least for nsfw artists. It’s been a fun ride and hell I probably wouldn’t even be making art still or know half the people I know today if I didn’t make an account here, but it looks like it’s time to move onto other sites.
I’ll be posting all my stuff on these sites from now on.
I’ll most likely be more active on twitter and pixiv since they’re a bit easier to use than the other sites at the moment. And I’m still trying to figure out what to do with all of my older content.
This will most likely be my final post but I’ll also be re-blogging it a couple times before this account closes.
I guess the last thing I would like to say is thanks to all 21,844 of ya, ignoring the porn bots for liking, sharing, commenting and messaging me over the past couple years. It’s been fun and I hope to see some of y’all on other sites. Damn this is cheesy as hell.
Other then that, I am putting most of my focus into Twitteras the main social media outlet. Newgrounds is also being setup, though it’s a little more self-contained and thus won’t be used for random posts and update notifications. Mostly just new original content posts.
Other places I am looking into is Reddit, though still unsure as it seems to not let me post video files to my profile. Piczel also allows uploading galleries and has its own follow feed, but I feel the video support needs a bit of work. I have already had a PornHub account for a long time, I just rarely posted to it. Might have to change that. I hope to make an account on Pillowfort as some point too.
Many other sites have been recommended to me, like Pixiv and Imagur, but one requires censoring, which I am not really fond of, and the other is just a gallery due to posting rules, which due to my site I don’t really need. Someone also pointed me to Mastodon, but I am weary of it right now.
That’s pretty much it.
This one has more info on places I am moving. So reblogging it now instead until end day.
Twitter will be my main hub, and I’ll post any news there once Tumblr goes under. I’m still searching through alternatives, as I’m not a fan of Twitter (or most social media platforms), but there’s nothing really suitable in a similar vein to Tumblr out there.
I’ll update this list if I add more.
On a bittersweet note, I hit 8K Followersthree days before Tumblr announced it was going to kill NSFW content…
I want to thank everyone who’s followed me and sincerely hope you’ll stick with me into the future!
